Project Challenges

This was a large greenfield construction project that was slated for commencement during a very busy time in the area. It required a large number of directs that needed to be sourced in a short amount of time. The client on this project wanted to introduce the operations team early on, with the idea that as the construction was being completed in the field, the operations team would be involved in the commisioning process, and then be able to carry on with their work.

The Phoenix Industrial Solution

The approach of bringing operations in early actually supported what Phoenix Industrial does well progressive turnover. By being proactive and quantifying the needs early on, Phoenix Industrial effectively supported this strategy by ensuring that all the tools were in place to augment their construction plans. It was a collaborative effort, and together with the client, achievement was made in this new innovative advancement in greenfield turnover. Another key component of success on this project was the quality team that was sourced to complete the job on time and on budget. At Phoenix, we have a strong core team of employees that are able to be integrated into any project to help stabilize and direct new labour. This also helps with the adoption of the processes that separate Phoenix from the rest of the industry. Workface planning, progressive turnover, and real time reporting are quickly adopted by new members of the team.
